Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) is said to be a cloud computing platform layer which can eliminate the need for every company to maintain the IT infrastructure. It is offered in three models i.e. private, public and hybrid cloud. In the public cloud, the IaaS is located at the cloud computing platform of the vendor’s data center. In a private cloud, the infrastructure is at the customer premise. The hybrid cloud is a compilation of two where the users can select the best of both.
The user through IaaS can choose the memory, CPU and storage configuration as per the requirements. The user can also access the vast computing power that is available on the IaaS cloud platform.
